South Auckland Health Foundation is changing...

To our valued supporters,

We have exciting news to share with you.

For 13 years South Auckland Health Foundation has helped Counties Manukau District Health Board to rebuild Middlemore Hospital.

To date, the Foundation has raised more than $34 million for the health services of the hospital and community. We have supported the funding of urgently needed new facilities, including Kidz First Children’s Hospital and Neonatal Unit, a new ICU, the National Burn Centre and Ko Awatea. And we have supported the funding of equipment, such as the mobile breast screening van, bone density scanner and operating microscope.

13 years on we have accomplished a great deal but while there will always be a need to update the hospital’s facilities and equipment, which we will continue to support, we now need to support the hospital’s reach out into the community, focusing on the urgent health issues that exist there.

So we are changing our identity, expanding our purpose and the first thing is a fresh new name – Middlemore Foundation For Health Innovation. We also have a striking new logo and colours.

Saatchi & Saatchi sponsor the Foundation and staff have given their time and expertise to develop the our new name and logo as part of their ongoing support.

This new name acknowledges our strong connection to Middlemore Hospital and its proud history, while leading us into the future. We are still proud to inform you that 100 per cent of all donations go directly to the project intended. We are able to achieve this by having our operating costs independently funded.

Other changes relating to our new identity will be rolled out in due course, but it’s important you realise that our board, staff, email addresses, phone numbers and physical address remain the same.

Our long term web partner, Webdesign, has donated time and expertise to developing a new-fashioned web site www.middlemorefoundation.org.nz
